Year 4 enjoyed a fun and educational experience at the Junior Chef’s Academy, where they got the chance to make their own pizzas and take them home! The children enjoyed training as a chef at the Lewisham Training Kitchen, situated at the Green Man. They explored aspects of Health and Safety with regards to cooking and hygiene practices, as well as learning more about the importance of having a Healthy Diet. Year 4 were given aprons and guided through the process of preparing ingredients to create the dough and top the pizza. They enjoyed watching Chef Oghosa demonstrate how to knead and roll the dough, and took part in cooking the sauce. The smell from the ovens was delightful as the children all did the washing up and tidied everything away. They couldn’t wait to see the final results. The pizzas were delicious!
